Whimsical Blythe!

Clara Blythe on Santas LapI love Blythe Dolls, all Blythe Dolls. They are so cute, so fun and so whimsical! I say all the time that Blythe's are so WHIMSICAL that they can wear ANYTHING and look cute in it.

Those Big Heads. The Big Eyes, the Eye Motion/Mechanism. The Beautiful Hair! The Faces, having the ability to dress like a child, teen ager or adult. The flexibility of the Ali Blythes, being able to pose them in the CUTEST ways! All of this, each of these, lend to that Whimsical Look that they Blythe Doll Captivates!

The Orginal Kenner Blythe Dolls came out in 1972, but did not do well in sales. Some time later, through Doll Photography, the Blythes were brought back to the Lime Light and Adult Collectors World Wide have scooped them up and embraced them.

The Licensing Rights have changed hands, and Several Different Companies have produced the dolls in 3 sizes.

Blythe Dolls, no matter what type of size you have and love, are so much fun and so whimsical, they just make most people smile and take a second look.

Licensed Blythes

Licensed Blythes

This is a photo of some of my Licensed Blythes, Kenner, Takara, Ashton Drake, Hasbro (and my Little Big Eye Doll). I really need to update this photo.

While I am THRILLED to have them, I leave them on the Shelf to look at, but my Ali Blythes, I sew for, craft for, am working on a Doll House for, and take places. I am so happy that there are what some people call, Fakies, to keep this Hobby and Love for Blythe Dolls alive!

My Kenner is sitting for a few reasons. Yes, she has GOOD Kenner Legs. I took this photo when I brought her home, I did not at that time have a Doll Stand for her. Also, you may or may not be aware that Kenner's bodies are now brittle and having them stand might just crack their bodies.

Me? I love all Blythes and Hybrids there of.

I really need to get a photo of ALL of my Licensed Blythes together, but. The problem is, the numbers keep changing. Just after taking this photo, I bought two more LPS Blythes. THAT is a very good thing. <laughs and winks>

"It Always Comes Back To Blythe!"

Kenner Blythe Dolls with Cases 9-23

I am quoting myself. I have a LOT of dolls and many different types. I have hundreds of dolls. But. It always comes back to Blythe. That is, I seem to think about the Blythe Dolls more, sew for them more, crochet for them. Wonder if other types of dolls clothing will fit Blythe....

Then I noticed that my Dolly Friends were doing the same thing. They were thinking the same way.

"It always comes back to Blythe."
