Takara Blythe
The Takara was the first to Reproduce the Neo Sized Blythe Doll.
Takara made and sold Blythe Dolls, under License from Hasbro, from 2001 to 2021. They made the Blythes in three sized and each size the Blythe Eyes, what the doll's are so famous for, did different things per size. The Neo Size had the Changeable Eyes, the Middie Blythes eyes have a dial that moves the eyes back and forth, and the Petite Blythe (also known as Mini Blythes) their eyes open and shut.
While I do own a few Takara Blythe Dolls, in all three sizes, I am REALLY bad about photos. I promise I will get caught up, take some photos, and show you the rest of my Takara Blythe Dolls.
I bought my first Takara Blythe Doll from a Seller on Ebay. We put in a bid and won the auction for a really good price. This is her, named by Takara, Simply Love Me, in the photo to the left. I was thrilled to buy her for such a great price.
Since then I have bought more Takara Blythe Dolls (as well as other Registered Trade Mark Blythes)....I have just not TAKEN the time to take photos and show them on here. I really need to make more time for my website.
I am learning, about Takara's as I go. Right now, however, I am more focused on Kenner and Ali Blythes, than the Takaras, at the present time.
Takara Fashion Packs
Takara made some really cute outfits for the Blythe Dolls and put some of those into Fashion Packs that could be bought separate from the Blythe Dolls.
I happen to have bought these two (photo coming) in the photo from a Doll Store in Chicago, Gigi's and Sherry's, where, on a different visit, I had bought my first Kenner Blythe Doll.
Sewing for Takara Blythe Dolls
The wonderful thing about the Registered Trade Mark Blythe Dolls, that is Takara, Ashton Drake, Good Smile, is that they are the same size as a Kenner Blythe Doll. And not only can these dolls share clothing, there are Clothing Patterns for sale for these wonderful dolls.
You can find FREE Patterns on line for Blythe Dolls, as well as, Tweak Barbie Patterns just a little.
We will be adding Patterns on this site soon. Time. Websites and Pattern Uploads take a LOT of time to create.
This Simplicity Blythe Doll Pattern was made in 2010 and it works wonderful for Registered Trade Mark Blythe Dolls.
My Takara Manequinn
I bought this Sweet Girl from a Seller on eBay. I like to have a Mannequin with a head when I am sewing.
This one is so cute, and has the right length of hair for that job.
My Ali Blythe Mannequins have Short Hair and names that start with V.....so her name will be.... coming soon.
Shoes For Takara Blythe Dolls
Takara Blythes wear the same size shoe as a Kenner Blythe and all the other Registered Trade Mark Blythe Dolls.
When I bought my first Registered Trade Mark Blythe, an Ashton Drake Blythe, she came without shoes. Deron got out the Calibrator (literally got out this tiny tool, a Calibrator) and measured her foot up, then 3D Printed her some shoes. Now I have them in so many colors, sometimes it is hard to choose which to put on their feet.
Doll Stands for Takara Blythe Dolls
Takara Blythes come in a Box that includes a Doll Stand. FORTUNATELY! NOT a Kenner Foot Trap type of Doll Stand. Never Stand Your Blythe Dolls in a Foot Trap Doll Stand. The weight of their head can break them in these stands.
The contents of this page for Takara Blythe Dolls is still under construction. Please check back later and often. We will continue to work on this website, through....time. This page should 'fill out' soon.
Takara Middie and Mini Blythe Dolls
This is a, albeit, bad, photo of some of my Middie and Mini Takara Blythes. They are so cute and the clothing so well made. Their little faces so cute!
This little tiny Blythe, made by Takara, was on an ebay auction. I could not resist her. You will see more of her on my Youtube Channel. I plan to sew and take photos of her.
